Wicked Lovely

Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.
Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty-especially if they learn of her Sight-and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.
Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries.
Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.
Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.
But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost-regardless of her plans or desires.
Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.

Wicked Lovely... ah where to start, I was very unsure of this novel and faeries. After reading Wicked Lovely and Wondrous Strange by: Lesley Livingston I am so "Team Fae." I really enjoyed that she had these rules that aren't meant to be broken, but everyone knows what happens to rules, they are always broken (and if they weren't then life would be boring). The characters are cool and unique like Seth an awesome friend, a good one at that having to deal with Aislinn and dealing with all her craziness (because if she were to tell me she could see faeries, then I'd probably pee my pants). Keegan for just being hot, mysterious, and a bit annoying, but I heart him. Aislinn should have listened to her grandmother instead of dealing with all this extra drama, and could have focused on her relationship with... (hehehe you will have to read the book or just fill in the blanks for yourself, could it be: Friend, BFF, Boyfriend, and or Grandmother!! My lips are sealed).
Wicked Lovely is not only on serious matter (they may not be serious for us, but for the characters) but it also has a fun part to it. Sorry guys for leaving you without the missing links it's just I don't want to spoil the book for anyone who hasn't read it. Reminder if you think you are not a Faerie person (and you like the whole paranormal scene) then believe because the Fae will intrigue you, and maybe leave a little bit of a Fae addiction behind.
Ok something I have always been so confused about the book series is what is the actual order of the series? So I asked Melissa Marr the expert to the Lovely series. What Melissa Marr had to say was this "You don't necessarily have to read the series in order, but because some characters are introduced in the other books you maybe confused." Warning these are not her exact words (can't find the tweet, but in essence this is what she said). The reason for this question is that I started Ink Exchange and was a bit confused, then started Fragile Eternity and then I kept thinking I was missing something!!
Must read then you will begin to understand the love I have for this novel. I adore the cover, actually adore the whole series covers, very eye catching, and the titles adore them

Series Order:
1. Wicked Lovely
2. Ink Exchange
3. Fragile Eternity
4. Radiant Shadows (Not yet released. Release date is: April 20th 2010)

I would personally rate this book:   4

Would love to give it a 5 Crescents rating, but it was due to the beginning!! Other then that FABULOUS!! Thanks Melissa Marr for an awesome book Ink Exchange here I come!!

Happy Reading

Great review! I like how it enticed the reader to want to know more about the book. I liked Wicked Lovely but I couldn't get into Ink Exchange. I keep thinking that I should just skip ahead to Fragile Eternity. I may someday go back and read the rest of the series. I just really liked the first book more. I really liked Wondrous Strange too (possibly more than this one but I can't remember).

By the way, here is an award for your blog.
