Dead Until Dark (This is not YA novel this is Adult Paranormal)

This novel is the first of the Sookie Stackhouse novels at first I was unsure of this book I’m into the whole vampire or mystical love story but I’m like this is too weird for me so I put it on my not list until recently I saw a preview for the show True Blood I’m like that’s my kind of TV show and like a nerd I researched it and came across that it was based on a novel! Yay and I found out it’s the novel I passed out on! I regret I waited so long to read this book. The book started off with action and it kept me hooked till the ending. One thing I must say is this book it’s anything but predictable, you may think you know what’s coming but never underestimate the element of surprise. Thank god when I did decided to pick this book up it was summer vacation or else I would recommend taking sometime because you will not be able to wait time to start the second one. I’m proud to say that after the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series I’m in love with this series. Ok anyways let’s get back to the book (and avoid my crazy lady rantings). Character, Characters, Characters I sometime grow impatient with the way some authors introduce their characters at the beginning of the book if this is the first book of your series I do not want an auto biography I want enough details for me to get hooked I don’t need the irrelevant stuff you have the whole book for that! In this book I was surprised it was a quick and easy introduction then some action (I don’t mean like a fighting scene). By the way who do you guys like? Erik, Bill, or Sam…. I still have not made up my mind.
I think anyone who appreciates a love story some action and vampires should pick up a copy. I have not seen the show I have seen previews and friends of mine have been watching religiously tell me it’s fabulous. There are also other reasons I have not yet seen it I’m also scared that I might spoil the books for me. Do you guys know if True Blood first season based on the first book let me know?
Thanks Guys!!
I’d personally rate this boo ïïïïï

Chosen By: P.C. & Kristin Cast

Chosen is about another adventure with Zoey Redbird and her friends, but supposed sworn enemies are now friends. If that’s not weird enough Stevie Rae, Zoey’s best friend is still alive and is having a hard time coping with what she has become. The problem with Stevie Rae is that she is struggling to hold on to her past and what she was before death; Zoey is trying to figure out how to save Stevie Rae before it’s too late. How will Zoey save her when she needs her friends but can’t tell them what is going on because it is a secret, but Zoey has other problems as well she is dealing with three boyfriends (I smell trouble, like major disaster), as if that is not enough vampires from the House of Night have been turning up dead. Find out how Zoey can solve all these problems before everything turns into a disaster and may be too late! I thought this book was good but there were parts in the book that I wish I had a phone to the fiction world, I’d call Zoey and I could have told her what to do and avoid. This book was still a good read some slow parts but also some good action and a good ending leaving me wanting more. (Untamed here I come!).

I would personally rate this book:

Betrayed By: P.C. & Kristin Cast

Betrayed is the second novel of the “House of Night” series. This time Zoey smells trouble in the House of Night, but can she figure it out before it is too late. In this book Zoey is struggling with three boyfriends. There is Heath her human ex-boyfriend who she imprinted with, then Erik her current boyfriend he’s just awesome and she sees a future with him, then there is Loren the poet and teacher and adult vampire (who keeps flirting with her). Everything thing is going good (in one way) until people from her past start going missing. While Zoey tries to solve the mystery of what’s going on, more things keep happening. In this book some enemies are secret friends and as the God Nyx says in the book.

“Darkness does not always equate to evil, just as light does not always bring good.”(P.C. & Kristin Cast) This book has a lot of twist and turns, you will never guess what is next.  Expect the unexpected. Be prepared for a fabulous second novel. I hate to say this but I think this way better then Marked (sorry P.C. Cast!!) Thank you P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast for yet another great book!. (My poor homework, it is taken second place to my reading)

I’d personally rate this book:

Marked By: P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

Marked is the first of the “House of Night” series. Marked is about a sixteen year old Zoey Redbird. Zoey gets marked (which is like being bitten by a vampire) and everyone except her human boyfriend Heath thinks she’s a freak. Zoey gets a chance at a new life as a fledgling (vampire in training); hopefully she can make it through the change! Zoey is put into a world of vampires and finds the best of friends anyone could ask for. Zoey is not a normal fledgling; she has been specially picked by the goddess Nyx (the vampire God). Zoey is put through a lot in this book. Can Zoey leave her human life in her past or will she rejoice in her vampire future?

Read and see for yourself!! This book was an awesome read couldn’t keep my hands off this book. There is always something interesting going on, and a lot of surprises. I do have to admit it was a little bit predictable, but I never knew what was going to happen in the end. It was awesome and kept me wanting more.  If you are looking for a book after the Twilight Series or something up that alley, this is a perfect example to sooth your craving for vampires. (Even though Edwards is not in this book there is always Erik, hot vampire number two.

I would personally rate this book:

5555

Welcome, Welcome!!

Hello Blog World!!

So this is my first ever blog and I just wanted to say bare with me it might take some getting used to all this!! Now a little about me as you can tell already that I’m a big fan of reading, so I have decided to share my opinion good and bad about books I have come across and read. I'm mostly into teen fictions so YA novels and as a fellow blogger has stated on her blog. "I am not a teen I’m actually a twenty something who just likes teen fiction." I'm actually a student / worker of 2 jobs one in a jewellery store and the other at a bookstore :)! As one of my managers at the bookstore always says "we are not in this business for the money!" The reason behind the blog is that I am a big blog reader I even have a schedule to when I follow religiously of what blog I read on what day of the week. I like being informed on good books and even the bad ones, everyone's entitled to their opinion "you trash may be my treasure." So I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and please feel free to fill me in on how I’m doing because I know that I won't be perfect. I will try to be here at least once a day to keep you guys informed. And as for posting I will try to have at least 1-2 post minimum a week.
So let the blogging begin!!

Thank you
