Iron Witch By: Karen Mahoney
Freak. That’s what they called seventeen year-old Donna Underwood in high school after a horrific fey attack that killed her father when she was just a child. Her injuries and rehabilitation resulted in magically enhanced strength, thanks to the iron tattoos branding her hands and arms. As a child of the alchemists, she is both blessed and cursed with a magical heritage that doesn't leave much room for boys, parties and homework.

Now, after ten years of wishing for a normal life, she finally has to accept her role in the centuries-old war against the darkest outcasts of Faerie: the Dark Elves. Aided by a gorgeous half-fey dropout, Donna must race to save her best friend’s life - even if it means betraying one of the world’s greatest secrets and confronting the very thing that destroyed her family.

Divine by Mistake By: P.C. Cast (Review & Contest)

The most excitement teacher Shannon Parker expected on her summer vacation was a little shopping. But then her latest purchase--a vase with the Celtic goddess Epona on it--somehow switches her into the world of Partholon, where she's treated like a goddess. A very temperamental goddess…
It seems that Shannon has stepped into another's role as the Goddess Incarnate of Epona. And while it has some very appealing moments--what woman doesn't like a little pampering now and then?--it also comes with a ritual marriage to a centaur and the threat of war against the evil Fomorians. Oh, and everyone disliking her because they think she's her double.
Somehow Shannon needs to figure out how to get back to Oklahoma without being killed, married to a horse or losing her mind….

So I finished Divine by Mistake this weekend, I went in with a feeling of unease, because I thought maybe I would dislike it. I was really looking forward to see my reaction, as I am a big fan of the Partholon, and ancient history. Let me warn you now the beginning was a bit slow and there were some parts I wished could have been cut out. BUT don't let that change your mind, because in the end the book prevailed and I loved it. Closer to the middle you can see the creativity that P.C. Cast has when writing Fantasy novels, with a creative edge when it came to the romance.

So as I was saying in the paragraph above you can really see P.C. Cast creative touch to each character. Casts' character were well thought out and perfectly delivered. I even kind of liked Nuada and Rhiannon (real one) even though they were crazy and evil. Another thing who would ever think I or even anyone who reads this novel would find a Centaur HOT!! Totally unexpected, but ClanFintan so hot. Some characters seemed so real (I swear the seem like people I know) example Alanna who at first is a servant then a loyal friend. Like any other person would have not dealt with what Rhea (Shannon) puts her through (but I definitely know people like that). What are friends for right to stick with each other through thick and thin (even crow like vampires hehe had to add that). For those of you who know me a highlight in a book is a well written Romeo and Juliet love story. Let me just say this book is Definitely NOT MEANT FOR TEENS. What a Hot, Hot love story well thought and the description were fabulous (I think I'm in love with ClanFintan). One thing I have to add I adore that though Shannon Parker was thrown in to someone else's life the people she cares about their faces are even in the Parthalon (even if they have different names). On to the Fomorians, they are so creepy and gross, totally fit the part on creature about to reap havoc. One thing though if you have read other books by P.C. Cast don't the seem familiar as in Kalonas arm in HON series?? Did anyone else notice that. The Still are cool, but give my the hebee jeebies P.C. Cast an awesome knack for description when it comes to surrounding areas, to moods, I applaud her on that.

So enough with my babbling I'm sorry if I have spoiled anything, but I hope I peaked your temptation :P to pick this book up. I highly recommend it, especially for those who like Adult, Fantasy, and Romance novels. This book has it all and must be read. I can't give it enough praises.  Have to give cover love to the UK cover I adore it, so eye catching like the cherry on top of Ice Cream.

Thanks again to Mira for asking me to review this series, I'm loving it.

I would Personally Rate this Novel: 4

Van Alen Legacy By: Melissa De La Cruz Book Review (Contains Spoilers, maybe more then one)

Basic Story: Schuyler is back for another installment is the Blue Blood novels. So after the Croaten Massacre that happen in Rio Sky is being accused of the occurrences and the death of her grandfather Lawrence Van Alen, knowing that she is innocent Sky and Oliver (her Conduit/ BFF/ Human Familiar) set out on a journey to fulfill the Van Alen Legacy (but just one problem Sky doesn't know what it is). So she and Oliver travel around the world in hunt of the Van Alen Legacy, but first she need to figure out how to keep her safe from the American coven (Corrupted might I add).

Bliss is confused and alone (not literally) her mother Bobi-Ann was killed in Rio, her so called sister had gone missing, her father is distant and her best friend has run away! Also her love killed by a silver blood! All shes left with is a short memory, blackouts and a Visitor who doesn't leave her!!

Mimi is off on an adventure living her life to the fullest love ahh love she's on top of the world (thanks to Sky) running away with her Conduit! Mimi has Jack where she wants him. Right??but nothing is as it seems!!

I love these blue bloods books (I sometimes think I love them more then... Twilight!!) I know how, but I do! The beginning of the book was kind of the confusing I don't know if it's because I read Revelations a while ago or just because! After I got hooked on these book a bit predictable except the end!

I don't know I like Oliver but not as a boyfriend more of a friend like Simon and Clary in the Mortal Instrument Series! I love that Melissa De La Cruz got creative with the whole history around this book and it was very descriptive and I was able to visualize it! I love the end of this book kept me wanting more! I hate that I have to wait until October 2010 for Misguided Angel even June 29th 2010 Keys to the Repository. I love that everyone knows something that could help each other in the over all happiness but it hurts the over all happiness but it hurts you because you wish you had a phone to fiction land to call the characters and tell them the out come of there actions.

This was yet another well written book by Melissa De La Cruz, great Character transition. There were some parts I wished to rush but the rest of the book made up for that. I adore this book cover it might be my favorite in the whole series. I would highely reccommend this series especially for all you young adult vampire lovers.

Series Order:
1. Blue Bloods
2. Masquerade
3. Revelation
4. The Van Alen Legacy
*Keys to the Repository (Extension novel)*
5. Misguided Angel

I would Personally Rate this Book: 4.5

Once Dead Twice Shy By: Kim Harrison Book Review

My name is Madison Avery, and I'm here to tell you that there's more out there than you can see, hear, or touch. Because I'm there. Seeing it. Touching it. Living it.

Madison's prom was killer—literally. For some reason she's been targeted by a dark reaper—yeah, that kind of reaper—intent on getting rid of her, body and soul. But before the reaper could finish the job, Madison was able to snag his strange, glowing amulet and get away.

Now she's stuck on Earth—dead but not gone. Somehow the amulet gives her the illusion of a body, allowing her to toe the line between life and death. She still doesn't know why the dark reaper is after her, but she's not about to just sit around and let fate take its course.
With a little ingenuity, some light-bending, and the help of a light reaper (one of the good guys! Maybe . . . ), her cute crush, and oh yeah, her guardian angel, Madison's ready to take control of her own destiny once and for all, before it takes control of her.
Well, if she believed in that stuff. (Book Summary Thanks to Goodreads)

So Once Dead Twice Shy for some odd reason I thought this book was about Vampires, it's not. So this book is about Madison a girl who dies on her prom (and some of you thought your sucked). So let me just tell you Madison was definitely not my favorite Character at the begging of the book. Madison was kind of frustrating. Once the storyline starts to pick so does your appreciation for her grows as the book goes on.

So to fully appreciate the book I had to wait a day to review it, just because the book is small (Hence its packed). Due to it being short is the one bone I have to pick with the book, it personally should have been longer like that readers are not confused at the begging. Anyways once you pass the story feel kind of rushed, and that's why I didn't write my review.  I didn't write my review when I complete the book just because my review would have been "Wow I don't know how I feel!!" what good would that be right. So I have had time to thing and I liked it. I will so be picking up Early to Rise, Early to Death, just because the book finishes not with a cliffhanger I want more.

The Character, some where well developed but other were under developed (some not even for mystery). Slowly into the book you do appreciate that there are mystery to certain characters. Another thing recently a lot of books have be tricky this is definitely one. So by saying that do not expect anything just go in and read the book and appreciate it, because this book was definitely not predictable. Due to it not being predictable is probably why the rating of this book it higher.

So in conclusion I adore the book covers chosen for this series very eye catching. This book is definitely my first Reaper book and I think the whole new genre. I will definitely recommend this book to Young Adult fans out there. I will definitely be buying Early to Death, Early to Rise, because there are some question I still want answered.

Series Order:

Once Dead Twice Shy
Early to Death, Early to Rise
Untitled (Release April 2011)

I would Personally Rate this book: 3.5

ShowTime: Pretty Little Liars (3)

So this is my new Meme called Show Time. I know this is a book blog but I have two shows I am ecstatic to watch, and I Kelly shall report my finds, reactions, and overall thoughts. The good thing is that both shows are book series made in to TV Series. One being Pretty Little Liars (Have not read series). Two being True Blood (Have read series). So hold on to your Knickers, for yet another SHOW TIME!!.

So first things first!! Before todays episode I went out and bought the paper back Pretty Little Liars with the TV Based cover. The thing is I don't know if I want to read it before watching the show?? What shall I do!! Let me know what you think I should do?

So I'm totally addicted and its only Episode #2. I even go my BFF addicted its now are new thing we watch Pretty Little Liars ever Tuesday Night (She even brought Knibs I love them). So this episode start slow but then BANG drama. So lets get on to the Discussion!! What some mother will do to clear there daughters Criminal report. I adore the whole mystery around all the girls and even to the general plot it keeps you wanting more. My BFF said if she didn't know there was another episode before today she would have thought the show was far along. She and I adore the whole A. secret messages like were clap because we want to hear what she has to say.

So now on to a bone I have to pick with 2 actresses. First off I dunno if it was just me, but don't you think Emily and Maya's acting in the scene when Emily's mom comes home and invited Maya to sleep over? Like when Maya bear hugs Emily's mom?? What kind of acting it was like they were put on the spot and have never acted that scene out (What do you think?).  Speaking of characters I know we are only 2 episodes in,u but I already have a favorite?? Guess who... Spencer thats right I dunno shes stiff, but kind of goody goody to those who don't know her inner self.

So in conclusion ARGH why I hate waiting a whole week :S. This episode so left off on a cliffhanger. I'm still confused on the whole Jenna thing and the stink bomb. Also what the hell "Send Message." Whats that all about!! I WANT MORE, I NEED TO KNOW.

Thought? Reactions? What do you think might happen?? Let me know!

So until next time (Tuesday come FAST)

Happy Reading!!

On her sixteenth birthday, Anastasija Parker's present winds up being the shock of a lifetime. When her mom referred to her absentee dad as a deadbeat it was actually half true -- he's a vampire. And a king, no less. A king who wants his daughter to assume her rightful position at his side. But, thanks to Ana's mother, the blood of a witch also runs through her veins....

Too bad vampires and witches are mortal enemies.

With her parents gearing up for an all out brawl over her destiny, Ana's about ready to scream. But things get even crazier when a male witch and a brooding bad boy vampire start vying for her affection. Then the barely leashed tension between the vampires and the witches starts to boil over, and Ana has to figure out once and for all if she wants to become heir to her dad's throne.
